LONDON – Britain’s Antiques Trade Gazette reports that antiques expert, author and BBC Antiques Roadshow stalwart Judith Miller has died following a short illness.

NEW YORK – John Stobart, one of the world’s most renowned maritime artists, died on March 2. He was 93 years old. The death was confirmed by his gallery, Rehs Contemporary Galleries, Inc.

CHICAGO – The Pritzker Architecture Prize – the highest honor in the field – has been awarded to British architect and urban planner David Alan Chipperfield, hailed on March 7 for “a commitment to an architecture of understated but transformative civic presence.”
