Harry Blackstone, "The Great Blackstone," Signed Check to "The Three Rivers Press," PSA/DNA Slabbed & Graded MINT 9!

A check inscribed overall by popular early 20th century illusionist Harry Blackstone (1885-1965), and signed by him as "Harry Blackstone" on the payee line. Check No. 34 in the amount of $52.12 was issued from the E. Hill & Sons State Bank of Colon, Michigan on October 30, 1933. The yellow ground check was issued to "The Three Rivers Press." and is stamped and endorsed recto and verso. With a perforated left edge. Graded by PSA/DNA as Mint 9. The check measures 6" x 2.75" while the slab measures 9.5" x 4.5".

Henry Bouton Blackstone aka Harry Blackstone dominated the Midwestern magic circuit in the early 20th century. Blackstone's shows were classy, and the magician typically dressed in white tails. His troupe consisted of costumed assistants and a pit orchestra. Audience goers viewed stunts like the Kellar Levitation, The Vanishing Bird Cage, The Floating Lightbulb, and Sawing a Woman in Half.
