Description
This lot consists of a hand-drawn ink illustration on paper, done in the style of famed cartoonist Charles Schulz (American, 1922-2000). "Schulz" is hand written at bottom. Image depicts Snoopy the beagle, an original character from Charles Schulz's 'Peanuts' series, atop his dog house. This illustration would make a charming addition to any collection. Unframed piece measures approximately 8.25" x 11.5".

Reverse side of piece features a stamp which reads, "Pennsylvania Council on the Arts".

Charles Schulz, the artist and writer of Peanuts, became one of the wealthiest men in America by using his childhood insecurities and failures as material for his comic strip. Charlie Brown, the strips likable loser, shared more than a first name with his creator and was inspired by Schulz bittersweet memories of his Midwestern boyhood.
