This Spectacular Photogravure Is Entitled “Hastobiga- Navaho Medicine Man" (1904) And Was Printed By John Andrews & Sons. Originally Published By The Suffolk Engraving Company, Cambridge, Mass., In 1925. This Etching Is Printed On Heavy Woven Arches Paper And Was Produced From The Original Plate #35. Rare And Difficult Subject To Acquire! Image Measures Approx. 12" X 16". Paper Measures 19" X 25". Comes With A Coa. Mint Condition. Unframed.. The Edward Curtis 1920's Collection Of Photographs Of The North American Indians Is One Of The Largest Photographic Archives Ever Produced By A Single Artist And Probably The Most Profound Representation Of Pure Indian Culture That Has Ever Been Compiled. His Complete Publication, “The North American Indian”, Consists Of 20 Volumes Of Text With 1,500 Small Plates, Plus 20 Portfolios Of 36 Unbound Gravure Plates, Totaling Approximately 2,500 Images. Less Than 300 Sets Were Printed. These Are Highly Collectible Items With Subtle, Delicate Detail. For Thirty Years, From About 1900 To 1930, Edward S.
