Scalp - Frederic Remington. Size 25x20. This is a bronze sculpture in the lost wax method and has a beautiful patina and is mounted on a fine Italian marble base. (1861-1909) Frederic Remington depicted the life of the cowboy during the late 1800s. He was born in New York and operated his own ranch in Kansas for a while. He had a horsemans knowledge of a horse. Bronco Buster by Remington is displayed in the White House. He is world reknown for his wonderful western bronzes. He first made his name as a painter and illustrator then a sculptor.
