Raphaelson, Samson, The Jazz Singer, signed and inscribed by the author "To my tenant, Pat McGraw" on the fly leaf, 1925, First edition, Brentano's, hardcover, original cloth-backed batik paper over boards, title label, 153 pp., this is the play script version, the first appearance with George Jessel and Sam Jaffe starring, published 2 years before the movie version with Al Jolson -- considered to be the first Talkie -- came out. Quite rare, especially here inscribed by the author.
Condition
Fair condition with label rubbed; inner hinges cracked, but holding; wear to outer hinges, edges and corners; contents unmarked and generally clean, with staining to margins of just a few pages.
