A proud Indian gallops atop his horse, returning home with evidence of his won battle in the desert. He sits high and thrusts a scalp into the air. His long silky hair falls down the line of his back and he wears only a loincloth around his waist. 100% bronze and handmade,this two-toned brown patina sculpture was cast using the "Lost Wax Method" and mounted on a black marble base. It features the signature Frederic Remington. Frederic Sackrider Remington (October 4, 1861 – December 26, 1909) was an American painter,illustrator, sculptor and writer. He specialized in depictions of the old American West, concentrating on the last quarter of the 19th century American West. Many of his sculptures depicted cowboys, Native Americans and the U.S. Cavalry.
