He has worked as a Gallerist in both public and private sectors and was a founding partner in Andrejev Galleries. Mayo's work is found in many permanent collections including those of Coca Cola, IBM, and the Munson-Williams-Proctor Museum of Art amongst other public and private collections.

Everett Mayo (NC, b. 1947), Schofield and Case, 2011, Watercolor, pencil signed and dated '2011' lower right, depicting two cowboys sitting around a fire with horses and wildlife, matted and framed. Frame size: 39 in. x 33 3/8 in.Everett Mayo has been an exhibiting painter and printmaker since 1966 and teacher of art, design and art history in various capacities since 1968.
