It is bound in green blind-stamped cloth with gilt zebra decoration on front board and gilt beetle decoration at spine, gilt titles, edges a little rubbed, head and tail a little worn, 9" x 6", 240pp. This book has its facsimile letter by Livingstone intact and has its bonded photographs of the author etc. intact and has its large folding map of Africa in the annex at the rear intact , though reinforced with vintage scotch tape.
