Newton was an original founding member of The Florida Highwaymen, young 1950s and 1960s era African American landscape artists mentored by Albert Ernest (Beanie) Backus (1906-1990), regarded as the Dean of the Indian River School. From a private Vero Beach, Florida collection. Presented in a rustic wood frame.
