Description
Paris map edited for the " exposition internationale de 1900 " by Garniers Freres 6 rue des Saint Peres a Paris . The first subway line opened , during the World's Fair (Exposition Universelle) ,this first line, Porte Maillot–Porte de Vincennes, was inaugurated on 19 July 1900 . Entrances to stations were designed in Art Nouveau style by Hector Guimard. Eighty-six of his entrances are still in existence.
H 22 x W 29 , the back has been restored with rice paper and archival glue due to some separation on the old folding , folding line visible , suitable for framing .
While not in perfect condition it is still a memorabilia worth preserving .
