Item Details

Description

19th C. Oil Painting of Woman in Gilt Frame Signed Pitman. Woman is depicted in profile with bonnet-like cap and kerchief or shawl resembling Quaker fashions, with a slightly bowed head and eyes closed as if in prayer. Inscribed at upper right, "PITMAN." Oil on board, with ornately carved wide gilt wood antique frame.

Dimensions are 13.25 in h x 11.25 in w x 2.5 in d. Condition is good, with a 1-inch scratch to left of face and some chipping to edges of frame. Please call or email for a detailed condition report.
