One of the great events from the history of the Grateful Dead was their run of concerts at the wondrous great Pyramids in Giza Egypt in 1978. This really was a family vacation for the band and the shows were notoriously weak. The Dead had a habit of not rising to the occasion for overly hyped and publicized shows, and the Egypt concerts were no exception. However the event did leave behind one of the best poster images in the Bands history. The late great Alton Kelley created one of his finest posters efforts ever for these shows.
