(lot of 5) Antique maps, early 17th c., published by Gerardus Mercator (Belgian, 1512-1594), likely from the "Mercator Hondius Atlas," published after his death c.1619, and Fredeick De Witt (Dutch, 1609-1706), each with numbered text pages in French language at verso, all with hand coloring and folded center, each: approx 19"h, 22"w, including: (1) Frisia Occidentalis, the map showing the Northern Netherlands and outlying islands; (1) Forum Iulium Karstia, Carniola Histria et Windorum Marchia, Gulf of Venice and Gulf of Trieste, several margin tears, tear at left into latitude scale; (1) Argow (Argau), Switzerland, believed to be from the 1628 Mercator-Hondius Atlas; (1) Bolonia & Guines, Mercator-Hondius Atlas, 1628, shields at lower left, ship at upper right, stains upper center; (1) Kingdom of Navarre, Frederick De Witt (Dutch, 1629-1706), published c.1680, Navarre red shield at upper left under putti figures title cartouche **Provenance: from the estate of a German antiques dealer who immigrated to the United States post World War II** Start Price: $250.00
