The map, titled "Mexico and Texas in 1842" shows a rather unusually shaped Texas with a tall, wide Panhandle reaching to the Arkansas River. "Includes account of Texas and a narrative, by Franklin Coombs, of the Texas expedition against Santa Fe. " - Howes. Howes F226. Ex-libris blind stamp of Wagner Free Institute of Science on map and preliminary leaves, additional ink marks of previous owners on endpapers, title page, and page 2.

Condition
Wear and soiling to cloth, chipping to spine; damp staining and foxing to text block, top margin of title page lost, map lightly foxed with closed stub tear, ill-creasing; good.
