(36) - 671 - (36) pages and 21 engravings, including a portrait of the author 18 internal manifestations: bones, the head and skull bones, facial bones, spinal bones, hips, hands, feet, human anatomy and parts for blood purification, which are used for generation, female parts for reproduction, breathing, the brain, the five senses, upper and lower limbs, etc.
Original calf binding in poor condition.
Good interior condition, light soiling.
Size 5 by 8"

Pierre Dionis (1643 - 1718) was a French surgeon and anatomist, first surgeon of the Enfants de France.
He was appointed surgeon by Louis XIV in 1672 to teach anatomy according to the courses on blood circulation that followed these works.
He also was the physician to Queen Maria Theresa of Austria and, from 1712 onwards, physician and chief surgeon to the court.
