These figures are among those that symbolize wisdom.
The two-headed figures are called according to the regions KILOLA KUBILI, KUNGUBILI, SHAMASHWA MABILI or MULI MWENGE
They are reserved for Mwami of higher grades
Objects with more than 2 faces are SABITWEBITWE SAKIMATWEMATWE or SHAKUNGUKUNGU
These statuettes generically called Igingawere used in the cult of the Bwami, an association that organized the social structure and ensured the stability of the Lega community.
The Lega are a Bantu forest people of Central Africa, established in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), in the provinces of South Kivu and Maniema.
