Boxing Jack Johnson Signed Photograph On December 26, 1908 in Sydney, Australia Jack Johnson shocked the world when he stopped World Heavyweight Champion Tommy Burns in the 14th round of their fight for the title. Johnson became the first African-American to win this coveted prize. He held the title until 1915. His career victories included Al Kaufman, Stanley Ketchel, Jim Flynn, Frank Moran and James Jeffries. Presented here is a scarce autographed photo of Jack Johnson. This is an original 8" x 10" photograph in the prime of his career showing off his substantial reach. The photo is circa 1912. Johnson boldly signed the photo, To Joe McDoland A Good Sport With Good Luck From Jack Johnson. Some minor soiling. Johnson signed photos are rare. A photo from his championship years is rarer still.
