This print is one of an original 24 images from the portfolio, an edition of 950 were made. The first 200 were printed on Richard de Bas handmade paper and signed by Shahn. This lot and all subsequent Shahn ''Rilke'' lithographs Dargate is offering is no. 146 of 950. Shahn (Lithuanian-American, 1898-1969) was a Social Realist painter & illustrator; he is well listed. This image shows a man in bed in blue-gray and cream colors. Size framed: 30 1/4'' h., 25'' w. Condition: no defects.
