Printed by Martin Flach the Younger for Matthias Schürer, Strasbourg, 27 February, 1502
First edition of the fourth volume, published in one edition with the works by Gerson as of 1494, contains numerous treatises in first edition
Full-page woodcut by Albrecht Dürer, showing Gerson as wandering pilgrim
Printed in Gothic type in two columns
Collation: 307 (of 308) unnumbered leaves, only lacking last blank leaf
Original late Gothic binding; blind-tooled calfskin, surrounding floral ornaments with some illustrations of birds in between front and rear board with slant iron decorations in center; front board with title inscription 'OPER' at top
Dimensions of monastery binding: 30 x 21.5 x 7.5 cm
In good condition
Provenance: Jesuit monastery Klagenfurt, title with monastery's hand-written ownership entry
Complete volume, printed in incunabula style and bound in an original monastery binding with blind-tolled floral ornaments and some bird motifs
Object is regular taxed. 7% VAT is added to the purchase price for deliveries within the EU.

Condition:

Strong and clean impression. First third with several wormholes, minor loss of printed matter in places. Title and following leaf with larger worm track at bottom. With isolated brownish stains in white outer margins. Lower margin somewhat water stained. 307 (of 308) unnumbered leaves, only lacking last blank leaf.


Binding:

Boards rubbed, corners somewhat scuffed. Some restored scratches and scraped spots. Spine unobtrusively restored.


Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
