Group of nine self-portraits.Gregory CORSO -- John Clellon HOLMES -- Diane DiPRIMA -- Peter ORLOVSKY -- Ted JOANS -- Michael McCLURE -- Robert CREELEY -- Seymour KRIM -- Charles PLYMELL -- Diane WAKOSKI. Michael McClure was one of the five poets, including Allen Ginsberg, who read at the famous Six Gallery reading in San Francisco in 1955. John Clellon Holmes is best known for his novel Go (1952), which depicts the life of the author and his closest friends, Jack Kerouac, Neal Cassady and Allen Ginsberg. Go is considered to be the first "Beat" novel. (9)
