1790 1ed Vaillant Africa Voyages Hottentot Ethnology Zoology Birds Giraffe 2v SET
François Le Vaillant was an 18th-century French explorer known for his descriptions of animals and birds in Africa. In 1780, he began a voyage to the Cape of Good Hope with the Dutch East India Company. While there, he collected various specimens of animals and plants, and encountered local natives, the Hottentot people. These two volumes include views of the Hottentots and their villages, as well as birds, and large African mammals such as giraffes.
This 1790 edition includes 11 engravings. Notably, it was not published with the uncensored depictions of the Hottentot women.

Richard Brinsley Butler Sheridan (October 30, 1751 – July 7, 1816) was an Irish satirist, a playwright and poet, and long-term owner of the London Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
He is known for his plays such as The Rivals, The School for Scandal, The Duenna, and A Trip to Scarborough.
He was also a Whig MP for 32 years in the British House of Commons for Stafford (1780–1806), Westminster (1806–1807), and Ilchester (1807–1812).
He is buried at Poets' Corner in Westminster Abbey. His plays remain a central part of the canon and are regularly performed worldwide.
