Revolutionary War Patriot General Nathaniel Woodhull Signed Document, dated March 1774 | A land deed in which Woodhull sells Zacharaiah Hawkins of Brookhaven, NY “. . . one whole share of Meadow Being Number nine and also one Equal half of another share Being Number Ten Situate on the South Side of the Island on the East Side of Connecticut in the New purchase at a place called Newcoach . . . ” The document is signed four times (three times in the text and “Nathel. Woodhull” once at the end). The document is archival repaired on the verso, light toning, a few worm holes clear of text, otherwise very good condition. General Nathaniel Woodhull (1722-1776) was a Colonel who fought in the French & Indian War, and later a brigadier-general of the New York Militia during the American Revolution. Woodhull was also elected as the President of the New York Provincial Congress
