The Civilisation of the Renaissance in Italy, by Jacob Burckhardt, Authorized Translation by S. G. C. Middlemore, 1892; gilt lettering; decorative endpapers; cracked hinges, writing to endpapers.
Napoleon the Little, by Victor Hugo, 1852; first English edition; marbled paper and leather, gilt lettering.
Spain and the Spaniards, by Edmondo de Amicis, Translated from the Tenth Edition of the Italian by Stanley Rhoads Yarnall, 1895. Complete in two volumes; beautiful cream cloth and gilt bindings with heavy red cloth dust jackets; profusely illustrated, tissue-guarded plates, some illustrations from photographs; soiling to dust jacket, age toning to pages, volume II has moisture markings and red transfer from jacket to front board and front endpapers.
