Attractive antique volume has been rebound in full leather with raised bands, stamped gilt lettering and ruling to spine and front cover. The volume has gilt top edge, with gilt tooling to the inner board margins, and dark green endpapers. This work appeared as a title in the series English Men of Letters. William Makepeace Thackeray (18 July 1811 – 24 December 1863) was a British novelist and author. He is known for his satirical works, particularly Vanity Fair, a panoramic portrait of English society.
Condition / Notes: This handsome antique book shows very well, with minor chipping at the head of the spine. Pages are clean and without markings. Volume is preserved in transparent plastic cover. Original cloth covers have been bound in at the rear of the volume.
