Roncaglia, Constantino. UNIVERSA MORALIS THEOLOGIA…. Venice: Pitteri, 1740. 13.75" x 8.5". 2 vol. bound in 1. [8], 487, [1], 316 pp. Full period speckled calf, title label in gilt, some gilt devices to spine (dulled), some chipping to extremities and spine, light remnants of label to base of spine. Early inscription to front blank, ex-library with light treatments, contents clean overall though the whole with light and faded water-staining (most noticeable to first and last few leaves, especially title page.) Overall Good. ************************ An early edition of Roncaglia's treatise on moral theology which was first published in 1730. Roncaglia's moderate positions were rather popular, and the work would continue to be printed into the 19th century.
