The lot is comprised of:

1. A regular issue envelope, ca. 1953, signed in Hebrew by Israeli military commander and politician Moshe Dayan (1915-1981) at center. 2. First Day of Issue postal cover signed by Golda Meir (1898-1978), the 4th Prime Minister of Israel, as "Golda Meir" at lower left. Both the preprinted cachet at lower left and the Israeli postage stamps commemorate the "Memorial Day for the Fallen of Israel's Defense Army 1968". Postmarked in Jerusalem on April 24, 1968. Paperclip ghost impression verso, else near fine. Golda Meir served as the 4th Prime Minister of Israel between 1969-1974.

3. First Day of Issue postal cover signed by Israeli politician Yitzak Rabin (1922-1995) as "Y. Rabin" at right. With a large rectangular cachet and 5 cent U.S. stamp commemorating the Lions International Golden Anniversary and its "Search for Peace" essay contest. Postmarked in Chicago, Illinois on July 5, 1967. The envelope encased in plastic is mounted on a larger sheet decorated with Israeli-themed vignettes and borders. (A November 5, 1995 newspaper clipping entitled "Rabin Slain" is attached to the mount verso.) Yitzak Rabin served as the 5th Prime Minister of Israel between 1992 and his assassination in 1995.

4. First Day of Issue postal cover 2x signed by Israeli statesman Shimon Peres (1923-2016), once in English and once in Hebrew at center. Also inscribed by him as "To Peretz (?) Meir / with Best wishes / Shimon Peres". The envelope has a cachet of the Tel Aviv Museum at lower left. Bearing an Israeli stamp commemorating Camille Pissarro's "Landscape with Bridge", postmarked in Tel Aviv on December 22, 1970.
