1909 1st ed Mark TWAIN Last Book Captain Stormfield’s Visit to Heaven
“A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.”
― Mark Twain
‘Captain Stormfield's Visit to Heaven’ (1909), the last of Twain’s books published during his lifetime, was printed in the same red cloth that Harper used for many of Twain’s works. This book is Mark Twain’s vision of Heaven and the journey in which is required to get there. Even though this book undermines most Christian views of salvation, it still maintained a popular read. According to BAL, the size of the first printing is unknown, even though three varying sheet sizes exist.
