Civil War Veteran Turned Minor Photo

Cabinet photo, mounted on board, black & white; 5.25" x 8.375", with photographer's information printed at the bottom: "J. T. Ogden, Architectural and View Photography Room 14 Brasie Block, 16th avoe Welton, Denver [Colorado]". A collector's notes on verso indicate the following: "Silver Mining in Colo - '70s? 80's? Lt. Wm. Davis Damork; New York; Enlisted May 61; Discharged July 61".

The image of the young miner is especially alluring as he rests his right hand on his revolver, and left foot on a giant rock. Could this be a silver nugget? A great Western image from Old Colorado.

This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
