Appendix and Table of Contents to the back. 304 pages on laid rough cut thick paper stock. Age toning with intermittent stains. Handwritten note to the preface page of "this came through J.Q. Adams family to …"

Extremely rare, with the title page lacking, however we believe this to be the circa 1798 ,translated by John Davis (1774-1854). Evans 34393, extremely scarce First American edition of this important documentary study of Napoleon in Italy.

This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
