John F. Kennedy Meets with Roman Catholic Clergy on his Last Trip to the Eternal City, Vintage Photo from Cecil Stoughton's Personal Collection
A color photo of 35th U.S. President John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) saying goodbye to unidentified members of the clergy outside of the Pontifical North American College (aka American College of the Roman Catholic Church of the United States) in Rome, Italy on July 2, 1963, from the personal collection of JFK White House photographer Cecil W. Stoughton (1920-2008). The print was apparently produced in the 1960s by Stoughton, and is hand-inscribed "C 231-14-63" verso as part of Stoughton's unique numbering and filing system. The double-weight, glossy color photograph was printed on Kodak paper. Expected light surface wear, else near fine. 7" x 5".
On the same day, President Kennedy also met with Italian President Antonio Segni as well as Pope Paul VI.
This photograph can be found in the collection of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum under the accession number ST-C231-14-63.
This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
