Manuscript document signed on laid paper, 8.25" x 4.25". Dated "December 26, 1776", and signed by Oliver Ellsworth "O. Ellsworth" . Lovely strong vibrant ink with slight handling marks to the page.

"For please to pay unto Jonathan Flagg five pounds three shillings & Eight pence money …"

Oliver Ellsworth was an American lawyer, judge, politician, and diplomat. He was a framer of the United States Constitution, a United States Senator from Connecticut, and the third Chief Justice of the United States.
