DESCRIPTION: George Mayor Franklin (1839-1899) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania Civil War Union soldier memorial. Center shield with battle history. Related family documents included are two Thomas Emlen Franklin (1810-1884) Yale University diplomas, one George Mayer Franklin Yale University diploma, one Frederick S. Franklin Sr. (1873-1931) Yale University diploma, and a portrait photograph of Frederick Franklin. All in frames. PROVENANCE: Items consigned by descendant of George M. Franklin. MEASUREMENTS: Memorial overall with frame 32-3/4" x 25-3/4". CONDITION: Toning to paper documents. Two with undulation. Not exmined outside of frame.
