Excellent Max Beerbohm ALS to Fellow Writer Ada Leverson

2pp of a bifolium, 3.875" x 5.875", London, dated November 28, 1907. Signed simply "Max" and addressed to friend and fellow writer, Ada Leverson. A short letter regarding an invitation to tea, reading in full: "My dear Ada, Delighted to hear you are back, and to hear you have been having such a good time, and to hear F.R. is so well. I hope his mother is better? Tomorrow, I am sorry to say, I cannot come. Might I come to tea on Tuesday?" Accompanied by the letter's original transmittal envelope, hand addressed. The letter has flattened mail folds, with light toning and soiling throughout. Usual wear and soiling to the envelope.

Max Beerbohm (1872-1956) was an English essayist, parodist, and caricaturist, well-known for his only novel Zuleika Dobson.
